Our BYRD Mixer is a great opportunity to connect with fellow doctoral researchers, especially for newcomers, and share experiences about PhD life in Bremen, all in a relaxed and friendly setting. The BYRD team will be there as well, happy to answer any questions you may have about pursuing your doctorate at the University of Bremen. New: Courses for postdocs included

We have been cooperating with the Graduiertenakademie of Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg since 2016. Since then, doctoral candidates from Bremen have been able to take advantage of the courses offered by the Graduiertenakademie free of charge. On April 30, 2025, the cooperation agreement was renewed - from now on, postdocs from Bremen can also benefit from the workshops in Oldenburg!

And of course: Thanks to the cooperation agreement, doctoral candidates and postdocs at the University of Oldenburg can take part in all our BYRD offers free of charge. A warm welcome!
