KRAM – The College of Academic Employees and its Council

The College of Academic Employees (KAM), established in 1994, serves as an advocacy body representing the interests of academic staff in non-professorial positions at the University of Bremen. This form of representation is unique among German universities. The contact persons are the members of the Council of the College of Academic Employees (KRAM).

The College and its Council advocate for strengthening the voice of academic staff in non-professorial positions and ensuring their equal participation in university policy-making. This includes representing their interests, contributing to opinion and decision formation, providing information and coordination, and promoting both internal exchange among academic staff and collaboration with key university stakeholders and university-wide bodies of self-governance.
